Sunday Worship Service 10:30 am: This is a traditional
worship service conducted in a relaxed manner. It is our desire that this
service be both a reverent and an intimate encounter with Christ.
Intercessory Prayer Group: This small group meets every Monday
morning at 10:30 am to praise God, to intercede for those who request
prayer and to pray for our country and its leaders. The group meets in
the library. Usually, we gather for lunch at a local restaurant afterwards.
Youth Hand Chime Choir and Youth Choir: Youth first grade and
up practice hand chimes and choral singing on alternating Wednesdays at
6:30 pm during the school year in the Sanctuary. Participants are not
required to read music.
Adult Choir: The Adult Choir meets every Wednesday, except in
July at 7:30 pm in the Sanctuary.
Adult Hand Chimes: The Adult Hand Chimes group meets on Tuesday
Nights at 6:30 pm in the Sanctuary. Being able to read music is helpful,
but not required.
Children's Sermon Time: At every Sunday worship service, children
are invited to join the pastor at the front of the sanctuary for a special
message related to the worship theme for that day. Children of all ages
are invited!
Ash Wednesday Service: This service begins our observance of Lent.
In this solemn worship experience, ashes are placed on the forehead of
the worshipers. It is in this worship service that we acknowledge our
mortality and prepare ourselves for the Lenten season.
Maundy Thursday Service: During Passion Week, on the Thursday
before Easter, we celebrate communion and observe the service of darkness
(Tenebrae Service). This liturgical service takes us through Jesus' last
week on earth using scriptural passages from the New Testament.
Christmas Eve Service: This candlelight service employs Old Testament
and New Testament scriptures along with Advent and Christmas Hymns to
remind us of the reason for the season.
Children's Christmas Plays: Beginning in November children meet
to rehearse their annual Christmas play.
