For the past 19 years, First Presbyterian Church has made chocolate-covered peanut butter and chocolate-covered coconut candy Easter eggs, beginning each year the week prior to Ash Wednesday and ending the week prior to Holy Week.  We average approximately 55,000 eggs each year.

In addition to funding projects for the church, the proceeds from the eggs have sent children to camp through the Kernersville Police Department, supported the Kernersville Fire Dept.’s Children’s Safety Seat Program, Next Step (Battered Women’s Shelter), Crisis Control Ministry, and has provided funding the local schools’ food programs.

Approximately 35 to 40 people volunteer each day.  Not only do many of the Church Family members help make the eggs, but others in the Kernersville community come each year to work and enjoy the fellowship!
